Census Redistricting and the US House of Representatives in 2022
Every even-numbered year, all members of the US House of Representatives (Congressional districts) are up for re-election as the term for the office is two years.
Following the Florida Legislature's adoption of the new Congressional district boundaries and maps representing the state on April 21, 2022, Lee County continues to be represented by Congressional districts 17 and 19. However, boundaries changed in both districts through a geographical territory expansion or decrease.
Following the 2022 General Election on November 8, the newly elected US House of Representatives will take office on January 3, 2023.
