Poll Worker Interest Application

What happens after I submit a Poll Worker Interest application?

A staff member from the Poll Worker Department will contact you to set up a brief interview. The interview will take approximately thirty (30) minutes, and will be conducted at the Lee County Elections Center, 13180 S. Cleveland Ave., Fort Myers.

If you are selected to work, you will receive an Assignment Notice in the mail just before the election. The notice will provide the following information:

  • How to access your online training class
  • The date and time of your training class at the Elections Center
  • The position you are assigned to work
  • The precinct you are assigned to work at on Election Day

Important information regarding Poll Worker Training: Florida state law requires that all poll workers complete the mandatory training for the position they are assigned to work before EACH election. After you are assigned to work, you must complete the online training class AND attend your scheduled hands-on training class at the Elections Center, or you will not be permitted to work.

How much money will I earn?

Deputies and Inspectors are paid $200 (per election) for Election Day service and completing the required training classes.
