As a Lee County voter, it is your responsibility to keep your voter registration record current with the Elections Office. If your address, name, signature, or choice of party affiliation has changed, please be sure to notify our office of the change.
Address Changes within Lee County
If you have moved within Lee County, there are several ways to update your address. You may:
- Click here to change your address online.
Note: Do not enter an out-of-county mailing address, as it will not reflect on your voter registration record.
- Call us at 239-533-8683 to update your address or have an application mailed to you. If you call to update your address, you will be asked to provide information that identifies you in the Supervisor of Elections records.
- Provide a signed, written notice that must contain your date of birth and one of the following: the last four digits of your social security number, your Florida driver's license number, or your Florida identification card number.
If completing an application, the original application must be signed and returned to the Elections Office by mail in person at any of our office locations. Do not email or fax an application.
If providing a signed, written notice, the notice can be returned to the Elections Office by mail, email, fax, or in person at any of our office locations.
We will send you a new Voter Information Card once the change is processed.
Change of Address to Another Florida County
If you have moved to another county in Florida, you can use the Florida Online Voter Registration (OVR) or contact your new county’s Elections Office to change your address.
Cancel Your Florida Voter Registration
If you have moved to another state or wish to cancel your Florida Voter Registration, please:
- Complete a Florida Voter Registration Cancellation Form (English PDF | Spanish PDF)
- Provide a signed, written notice that contains your date of birth or voter registration number.
The notice must be signed and returned to the Elections Office by mail or in person at any of our office locations. Once we receive and process your request, you will no longer be eligible to vote in Florida.
Name or Party Affiliation Changes
IMPORTANT! Florida is a closed primary state. You must submit a party affiliation change 29 days before each primary election. For more information, click here.
Name or party affiliation changes cannot be completed by telephone. If you have a Florida Driver's License or Florida ID Card, you can use Florida Online Voter Registration (OVR) to update your existing voter registration record. If you have neither, you may:

- Call us at 239-533-8683 and ask to have an application mailed to you.

Update Your Signature

Has your signature changed over the years? Now is the time to update the signature on your voter record with the Lee County Supervisor of Elections. It is crucial that your voter record contain your current signature.
Having your signature up-to-date may seem like a minor thing. However, it can be a determining factor in deciding whether your vote or signature will be counted when you choose to vote by mail, cast a Provisional Ballot during Early Voting or on Election Day, or sign a petition. Florida's law requires that the signature on your Vote-by-Mail ballot or Provisional Ballot voter's certificate, or signed petition be compared to the signature on your voter record.
All signature updates for use in verifying vote-by-mail voter certificates, Provisional Ballot voter certificates, or petitions must be received by our office before we receive the voter's ballot. In the case of a Provisional Ballot, before the ballot is cast or, in the case of a petition, before the petition is submitted for signature verification.
To update your signature, you must complete a Florida Voter Registration Application. You may obtain an application on this website or at any of our office locations, or you may call the office and request an application be mailed to you.
The completed, original application must be returned by mail or in person at any of our office locations.

Death Notification
In the case of a deceased voter, the Supervisor of Elections office would like to extend their deepest condolences and provide some guidance to the surviving family.
Surviving relatives are under no obligation to notify this office of a death. In most cases, if the voter passes away in Lee County, the Lee County Department of Health and Bureau of Vital Statistics notifies the Supervisor of Elections. When we receive this notification, we will automatically remove the voter from the registration rolls.
If the voter passes away in Lee County or outside the county, and you wish to notify this office, you may send us a photocopy of the deceased voter's death certificate. You may do so by mail, email, fax, or in person at any of our office locations.
