Updating your Voter Record

MAKING CHANGES TO YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION

As a Lee County voter, it is your responsibility to keep your voter registration record current with the Elections Office.  If your address, name, choice of party affiliation, or signature has changed, please be sure to notify our office of the change.

Address Changes (Moving within Lee County)

If you have moved and your new residence address is within Lee County, you may call the Elections Office at (239) LEE-VOTE (533-8683) to update your address OR you can use our online web-based form to change your address within Lee County.  You may also call the Lee County Elections Office at (239) LEE-VOTE (533-8683) to have an application mailed to you or you may complete and print an application online. The application must be signed and the original returned to the Elections Office.  You may hand deliver the completed application to any branch of the Lee County Elections Office or mail the signed, original application to Supervisor of Elections, P. O. Box 2545, Fort Myers, FL  33902.

You may also provide a signed, written notice that contains your date of birth.  The notice can be sent to the Elections Office by fax at 239-533-6310.  A new Voter Information Card will be sent to you once the change is processed.

Change of Address to Another Florida County

If you have moved to another county in Florida, you must contact your new county’s Elections Office to change your address.

Moving out of State

Please cancel your voter registration in Lee County by notifying our office in an original signed, written request that also contains your date of birth. You may hand deliver the request to any branch of the Lee County Elections Office or mail the request to Supervisor of Elections, P. O. Box 2545, Fort Myers, FL  33902.  Once we receive and process your request, you will no longer be eligible to vote in Florida.

Name or Party Affiliation Changes

A name or party affiliation change to your voter registration record may not be completed by telephone or online.    Please use a  Florida Voter Registration Application. You may call the Lee County Elections Office at (239) LEE-VOTE (533-8683) to have an application mailed to you or you may complete and print an application online. The application must be signed and the original returned to the Elections Office.  You may hand deliver the completed application to any branch of the Lee County Elections Office or mail the signed, original application to Supervisor of Elections, P. O. Box 2545, Fort Myers, FL  33902.

IMPORTANT! Florida is a closed primary state.  Party affiliation changes must be submitted 29-days prior to each primary election.   Read more.

The application must be signed and the original returned to the Elections Office.  You may hand deliver the completed application to any branch of the Lee County Elections Office or mail the signed, original application to Supervisor of Elections, P. O. Box 2545, Fort Myers, FL  33902.
