Vote-by-Mail Ballot and Election Day Information for the Cities of Cape Coral and Fort Myers November 7th General Election

Lee County, FL (November 6, 2017) The Cities of Cape Coral and Fort Myers have a General Election on Tuesday, November 7, 2017.

Eligible voters residing within the city limits of Cape Coral may vote for Mayor and City Council Districts 1, 4, 5, and 6 offices.  All Cape Coral offices are elected citywide.  In the City of Fort Myers, only voters residing in Wards 1, 3, or 5 are eligible to vote for a council member in their assigned Ward.

All vote-by-mail ballots must be returned by 7:00 p.m. on November 7th, Election Day to the Lee County Supervisor of Elections Main Office, 2480 Thompson Street, 3rd Floor, Fort Myers.  The Cape Coral Branch Office, 1039 SE 9th Ave., Cape Coral, and the Elections Center, 13180 S. Cleveland Ave, Fort Myers, will accept vote-by-mail ballots until 3:00 p.m. Election Day.

Should you decide to vote at your polling location on Election Day, bring the entire vote-by-mail ballot packet with you to expedite signing in at the polls. You may still vote in person if you do not have your vote-by-mail packet.

If you have moved and do not know where your polling place is located call (239) LEE-VOTE (533-8683) to update your address and find out where you are required to vote on Election Day. Florida law requires that you vote in the precinct in which you reside. If you go to your former polling place, you will be required to update your address and directed to your correct polling place.

You must vote in your precinct on Election Day.  Polls are open 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Election Day.

Florida election law requires that you provide picture and signature identification at your precinct on Election Day.

  • Veteran Health ID (issued by the U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs)
  • Concealed Weapon License (issued pursuant to s. 790.06 FS)
  • Government Employee ID
